Pamplet Day

Went for church service. The sermon was abt belonging to a church, abt church membership, we also had our CG pledge (didn't we had one.. hahaha...). After that, we had our lunch. Merv told me that his tummy abit funny when we had the breakfast before the service. Then Irving also told me he couldn't sleep, and i also learned that Pris also didn't get much sleep (she looked so drained, has that anytime-can-doze-off look). Hope its not all cos of the dinner the day before :P

We then proceeded to practice and refine our bamboo dancing idea for the community outreach programme. We splashed so much water on the floor doing the bamboo dance and limbo rock with water cups!! (mental note to bring mop on actual day)

Then its time to distribute pamplets. We took a taxi to hougang with me and Andrew dropping off first. By that time there was a very heavy rain! I didn't see any covered walkway to the block I was assigned to go, so I had to run through the rain. By the time I reach the destination, I was totally drenched (imagine running ur hand through ur hair and got water dripping from it). I got to the top floor and started distributing. This block has 144 units, ie. 12 floors x 12 units. I had to put the pamplets on the metal grilles cos the floor was very wet. It all went quite well except one unit where there was this indian lady who completely dun understand english and refused to take my pamplet.. hahaha... Guys from another care group, Yi Hong's group, also joined us. After Andrew was also finished, we proceeded to Macs nearby to meet up with the others.

Me, Irving and Andrew then took a cab to orchard to meet up with Merv and Tze Yee to watch Star Wars Ep 3.

We kinda missed the 1st 10 mins of the show, but i guess its ok. There were quite a no. of ??? in the show. I can't believe the Jedi are so useless to be backstabbed by the stormtroopers so easily man!!! (dun they have the Force to sense the stormtroopers' intentions???) Anyway, after the show, we went home. On the way down the escalator, a lady had to step on my sole and my sole finally came loose. I had to walk all the way back like a crippled to hide that fact (at least people won't laugh at a person with an injured leg rather than someone with a half-attached sole). What a day!!

Yo SIR GAB! What a day man. Star Wars was totally depressing. I mean, why didn't he just dump Vader into the lava pool or something and he would've saved the galaxy so much trouble. Oh well, but I guess had he done that, no freekin' good Episodes 4,5 and 6.

Distributing flyers was shiok except for the many doors that were left open at my block and I had to try to be thick skin to tell them why on earth I was sticking a pamphlet through their metal grills. Not very polite... Thank God Yihong and Grace came to back me up with 40% left of the block to cover. Yihong powerful spoken Cheena was a godsent for a banana like me. But man, I gotta tell you - just give 4 guys a mission and clear objectives and they will execute the plan in no time. Thumbs up sirs!!! *grin*

Wahaha.. Now I can tell you what I wanted to say about Yoda since you guys have watched the show already. Dun u think Yoda looks like a frog leaping on water lilies when he was fighting with Palpatine in the court room/auditorium? Heheh
