Artistic appreciation

Met CG around evening time. Went to have dinner together. Today we have a visitor, Kailin, from Hope Sydney joining us. She's here for holidays for a month. After our dinner, its time for art appreciation.

We're at the Asian Civilization Museum for the Vatican Art exhibition, "Journey of Faith". This is an attempt by our dear CL to expose Christian art and history to us. When we went in, we saw a lot of Asian cultural exhibits. After a while, we realised that this is not the Vatican Exhibits! Realizing that, we moved in further and found it. The place was quite serene. As I moved to the 2nd exhibit, I saw something interesting. This exhibit came from Priscilla, Rome!! I guess this place will definitely be one of the stopover points if Pris ever visit Rome!! hahaha..

I went through the exhibits one by one, reading every single description of the exhibits. There were a variety of them, paintings, sculptures, ornaments, pieces from tombs, clothes of Popes, carvings, and even 2 small pieces of the Dead Sea Scrolls. The scrolls were so tiny though that I almost miss it though! Before I was even a quarter way through the exhibits, the security guards start to chase us out, cos its the closing time. I took a quick glance across the rest of the exhibits before I walked out with the rest.

With no other plans in mind, we strolled to the City Hall MRT. Along the way, Chang Chiung and Merv started to talk abt interesting topics like the history of the different versions of the Bible. I also got to know what Jesuits did before, terrible people!! They also talked abt the history of the Christian world, abt the different denominations of Christians (including the Catholic Church). hmm.. come to think of it, we talked quite a lot. Must have been a very long walk!!
