David Allbritton's Boldness

Be bold! That's the message of the sermon. Went to a talk by David Allbritton, an American evangelist. The topic of the sermon is how to win souls. He gave a lot of examples of how he approach people, how he took opportunites to witness to people and winning their hearts and saving their souls. He tells of how he is guided by the Holy Spirit to do certain things at certain time. Like how he joined a company to sell vitamin pills. He became successful in the business by witnessing and selling the pills at the same time. What a great way to earn money, can earn and save people at the same time! After some time, the company organized a company gathering in the form of a conference. It was then that he took had the opportunity to witness and teach the goodness of Jesus and saved 5000 people!

He's also into saving his neighbours. There was one time just after he moved house, he invited all his neigbours to his house for a house warming, get-to-know ur neighbours gathering. He took this opportunity to tell them abt Christ and saved 16 people out of 17... Amazing!!

The thing that i learn from this sermon is to learn to listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, to follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit and also be BOLD to witness to people.

PS. I got the book that he wrote, which has a lot of examples of how he evangelise, and also teaches a few techniques on evangelizing. An inspiring and must-read book!

Cycling outing

well.. dun really rem what happened liao.. here's some pics then...

ok.. maybe I rem a bit.. I rem that I was crazy enough to walk from Eunos MRT to East Coast to meet up with the rest of the guys... I took my time to enjoy the scenery although it was a full blast of sunshine (i.e. extremely hot). Saw this building and decided to take a photo. Learned later from Meng Chong that this was an estate owned by an Arabian. There was another house that look similar to this across the road. Meng Chong said that that was part of the estate also!! This means the Arabian estate must be very very big, probably a few HDB blocks!!

Now, a few photos of the cycling session.

oops.. I only took photos of the sea!! haha...

After the cycling, we went to Outback around suntec to have our dinner.

Caught Junming with his favourite activity.. hehe

Without any other activities that we can think of, we decided to go home. More of the outing can be read on Junming's blog
